An inspirational meeting and exchange of experiences
A 3-day Symposium aimed at professional Cinematographers

Thursday (evening) May 18th – Saturday (evening)May 20th, 2017 SAVE THE DATE!

After “INSPIRATION” Cinematographers Forum held in 2008 and 2011 in Copenhagen, Denmark and 2011 in Vienna, Austria it is time to repeat the success with another “INSPIRATION” Cinematographers Symposium
– this time we will meet in the EYE Film Institute Netherland in Amsterdam!

We have invited outstanding Cinematographers that have shown creativity and personal expression so evident – that we must meet them, talk with them and be mutually inspired.

Anthony Dod Mantle DFF, BSC, ASC
Elen Lotman, ESC (lecture „The Cinematographer as professional see-er“
Jeanne Lapoirie AFC
Luciano Tovoli AIC, ASC (special screening “Profession:reporter“ - also open to public)
Martin Gschlacht AAC
Phedon Papamichael ASC, GSC

The seminar will be structured like a dialogue between the respective cinematographers- director-teams and the audience – with discussions, exchange of views and experience, and screening of clips from their films, giving them the opportunity to explain their artistic choices. All based on the assumption that the cinematographic expression is the pivotal starting point.

Additionally we plan a special screening of the film “Professione: Reporter” (Dir. Michelangelo Antonioni) with a Q&A with DOP Luciano Tovoli, AIC and a special lecture with Elen Lotman, ESC

All detailed information together with the invitation and the application forms will be sent out soon!

Best wishes and see you in Amsterdam in May!
